I cannot understand some people’s obsession with being the alpha. This is especially true amongst a certain demographic of men.
In the lifecycle of software, the alpha release is usually the release with the most bugs in it. Beta on the other hand still has bugs, but the worst has usually been straightened out.
If you’re going to describe me as anything, I think I would prefer to be a beta version. It’s not great, but the bugs are manageable at this point. I am most likely in the perpetual beta stage. It’s publicly available, but continuous improvement is happening with new features added and bugs removed.
