Since we’ve been old enough to walk and put sentences into words, we have been informed about the LifeScript™.
The LifeScript™ is treated as a one size fits all approach to living life. You get an education, get a job, get married, buy a house, have kids, retire. Preferably in that order, and most of it completed by the time you’re thirty.
However, this LifeScript™ is not a one size fits all. It’s not even a one size fits most.
Every person needs to define their own script. They need to discover what it is they want out of life. If making management is not part of their script, then so be it.
One thing we need to stop doing as humans is judging other people’s lives as somehow lacking because it’s not the same as ours. Some people are quite content just doing what they do.
There’s no reason for all of us to be following the same recipes. Life would be pretty damned bland if we were all the same, living off of the same script.
